It has attractive dark green paint on a nice straight body. A 460hp stroker motor from Smeding Performance with a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. A very handsome interior that includes cold air conditioning. All this and much more, with a sleeper flair that really looks great. This Ford was built at the Kansas City plant and originally delivered to the Los Angeles area which helped prevent any major rust issues. The body is very straight as well with good gaps throughout. Note the original floor pans along with added subframe connectors for extra strength. The car received a quality two-stage paint job with a dark green that just looks great on this body style. The brightwork was redone as well which gives a great contrast against the dark paint, while the 289 badges were retained to throw people off. The basic hubcaps on the 15 black steel wheels are the finishing touch (note the rear caps are included). The BF Goodrich tires are brand new all around. The drivetrain uses an engine from Smeding Performance based on a stroked 351W that now displaces 392 cubic inches. This assembly is rated at 460hp and uses a load of quality parts starting with a Ford SVO Sportsman II block. The rotating assembly uses a nodular iron crankshaft, 4130 forged rods, and hypereutectic pistons. With 9.8:1 compression and a hydraulic roller camshaft, this is a reliable street assembly that doesnt need any special fuel, oil additives, or valve adjustments. The aluminum cylinder heads are modified Edelbrock Performer RPM pieces with 2.02/1.60 valves, while the RPM Air Gap intake is topped with a Performer carburetor. There is also an MSD distributor, large aluminum radiator, and headers feeding a dual exhaust with electric cutouts on a remote. Power delivery is through a Ford 4-speed automatic.
