ThisCalifornia car was recently purchased, sourced from either Coloradoor Utah. It?s a promising little project car that runs and driveswell, as we will demonstrate with a yard driving video. The carcomes fitted with a good set of tires, and is an excellent startingpoint for an easy and straightforward restoration.The body is indecent shape overall, with minimal rust issues. It has beenrepainted in its original red color. One notable area of concern isthe right rocker panel, which needs replacement. However, the restof the body, including the wheel arches and fenders, is inexcellent condition. Triumph TR4s have seen a rise in the marketrecently due to their exceptional and handsome design by Italiandesigner Michelotti.The interior shows original red paint, althoughthe upholstery is peeling and requires attention. The floors,however, are solid and in good condition, displaying only a bit ofsurface rust. The wooden dashboard, characteristic of the 1965model year, will need restoration. The seats appear to be originalor close to it, with correct slides.Moving to the trunk, we find astraight and clean space, showcasing the car?s dry Western Stateshistory. The engine compartment is also clean and original, withthe front valance properly replaced at some point. The engine isthe correct and original one, indicated by the properly sequencedVIN plate.Overall, this TR4 is an honest car that runs and drives.With its affordable price and solid condition, it presents anexcellent opportunity for a cosmetic restoration. Aside from theright rocker panel that needs replacing, this TR4 is a straight andrust-free car, making it an ideal starting point for someonelooking to enter the TR4 market. Finished in its original colorsand equipped with the correct components, this 1965 Triumph TR4convertible is ready for a straightforward restoration.
