Under the hood sits a 389 cubic-inch V-8 that the owner states hasbeen bored and stroked out to a massive 447 cubic inches andmodified with a Comp Cam, Eagle Rods, Ross Pistons, ceramic-coatedlong tube headers, and a bit of chrome to spruce up the engine bay.Power from that big motor gets sent through a TH400 three-speedautomatic transmission onto a ten-bolt rear that sports an AuburnTraction Lock differential using 3.55 gearing. This 1966 Pontiac GTO has a Pypes stainless steel exhaust finishedwith sweet-sounding FlowMaster mufflers. If that rumble isn'tenough, there is also a toggle switch under the left side of thedash to actuate this car's dual electric cut-outs, which changesthis big block's rumble to an NHRA-level roar.
