This is an original Inka car that was restored byPeter and the experts at Coupe King in Los Angeles, renowned forclassic BMW restoration. It was a feature car in Roundel in 2003.The interior features Recaro driver and passenger seats and boththe wood, trim and upholstery are excellent. The engine and allmechanical components are original and all the appropriate stickersremain in place. The tools and jack are included. The car is inshow condition and a delight to drive. The BMW 3.0 CSL is a racinghomologation special based on the E9 chassis. It has a strong 3.3Linline-six cylinder engine paired with a four-speed manualtransmission. It has Bilstein suspension and the Street Packagewith bumpers, glass windows, tool kit and thin steel doors. CSLstands for Coupe Sports Licht (for lightweight), and it shed abunch of weight compared to the standard model thanks to thinnersteel body panels and removed sound deadening. Our CSL has beencherished as part of a prominent collection and this is its firstappearance on the market in decades. In Peter's description, whichwe gratefully acknowledge for some of these details, he wrote, Ranlike the hammers of hell, all that lazy torque from the 3.3 in thelight shell. It is truly an investment-grade example.
