This auto is a stunningly beautiful ride for I have had the pleasure of being behind the wheel. Drives straight and true, an enthusiasts delight. The great 5.3 litre, 4-carburettor V-12 engine with tuned exhaust that purrs, pulls through in any gear with gusto. The conventional water-cooled engine is equipped with 24 valves and four Zenith Stromberg carburetors. The V-12 had a compression ratio of 7.8:1. The engine generates 241 horsepower and 285 foot-pounds of torque, the twisting force gives the Jaguar its get-up-and-go from a dead stop. The 4 four-speed all-synchro manual transmission is an extremely smooth short throw shift. 4-wheel ventilated power disc brakes, power rack-and-pinion steering. Bright red with buckskin leather interior, air conditioning, chrome wire wheels and built for fun. This third generation Jaguar E-Type was only available from 1971-1975 and it was the debut of their roaring V-12 engines. The V-12 allows the 1973 XKE to hit 0 to 60 MPH in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 135 MPH. It achieves a reasonable overall 18 MPG. A total of 6,767 1973 E-Type models were produced. CHROME/ BRIGHTWORK All in excellent shape with no marks or defects, optional luggage rack is on rear trunk lid and an additional "grille Bard" is on the front bumper. AUDIO EQUIPMENT: Radio is a Clarion 5500R Cassette Player ALARM: NonePAINTWORK: This car was originally Tobacco Brown and has been given a very high-quality red paint job.
