1979 Lincoln Continental Town CarPRICE REDUCED DRAMATICALLY Readthe details carefully and bod accordingly!!! SHOOT ME ANOFFER!!!!Same owner since 1983, until recently. Only 58,000certified miles, original survivor inside and out, and never anyrestoration of any kind!!Well equipped as noted on the originalpurchase order when new, from Quality Lincoln-Mercury inMinneapolis.Mechanically excellent: A recent carb rebuild, the carstarts instantly and rolls right down the road, transmission shiftsflawlessly. Smooth and quiet inside, it's almost like 1979 all overagain!! All lights and gauges work as they should, the concealedheadlights open with ease. The factory Am-Fm Stereo radio worksperfectly, even the power antenna goes up and down with ease. Theair conditioning is not blowing cold. The compressor seems to befree, could just be in need of a recharge. No obvious leaks noted.Also, the shocks and brakes seem to be in good shape too. All poweraccessories work as they should.Cosmetically, it's in overallexcellent condition. The paint is 90% original right down to it'sfactory painted on pin stripe.The right rear quarter panel had adent repaired decades ago, there is some lacquer checking but it'snot too bad. Also, as seen in pics, two minor spots of rust, juston the bottom sides of both front fenders. The Dove Gray paint issmooth and shiny, it's stunning!! The interior is also excellent.No visible wear or rips on the upholstery, the door panels, carpetand dash are perfect!This was a non smokers car. Perfect headliner.There is an issue with the vinyl top as seen in pics, the vinyl hasnumerous splits, unknown reason as to why. When making an offerbear in mind you'll probably be wanting to replace the vinyl.Miscnotes: The tires are decent but I'm guessing they're fairly old.The engine bay is basically clean and presentable. After all, it'san unrestored survivor!!! The bottom side looks very solid, onlynormal surface corrosion as seen in pics. The muffler should bereplaced, it's just a bit throaty if you ask me!Also, there's tonsof original paperwork going back to new, including the originalbill of sale from the dealer.
