1979 Pontiac Trans AmThis 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is poweredby a 403ci V8, three-speed automatic transmission.Additionalequipment includes power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, anda Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo power-assisted steering,snowflake-style 15? wheels finished in silver with gold accentswith Firebird-logo center caps as well as 225/70 BFGoodrich RadialT/A white-letter tires. Stopping power is provided by all wheeldisc brakes.I acquired the car in 2019 as the 3rd owner. Under myownership, I have replaced the headliner, grille, and driver's sidedoor handle. I have the owner's manual, T-Top storage bags, and aclean California title in my name.The front bucket seats andtwo-passenger rear bench are upholstered in Camel cloth.Thethree-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column andfronts a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, andsupplementary gauges.The 403ci L80 V8 came equipped from thefactory with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 185horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque.The battery was replaced and anoil change was completed in September 2022.The undercarriage isvery clean with a bit of surface rust on the exhaust pipes.Cosmoline can be seen on many components, the areas in between showclean and rust free the floor panels and fuel tank.Paintimperfections are shown in photos.There is a crack on the aircleaner housing.This is a very clean very well running survivor,with just the right amount of patina. I hope the next owner enjoysit as much as I have.
