The 560SL was the final version of Mercedes-Benz's landmark 107series 'coupe/roadster.' It featured always-admired styling, plusMercedes engineering and all the mechanical upgrades made over theyears, evolving a bulletproof 5.6 liter V8 drivetrain,effectiveA/C, driver's airbag and ABS brakes. They were fabulous, reliablecars capable of high-speed cruising that could be easily servicedin any city and had modern safety features-plus that year-roundcapability with a snug hardtop. Now they make the perfect classiccar. Many 560SLs are well past a quarter-million miles today, but thisFlorida car still has only 93K-one family had it for 18 years. Ithas a clean Carfax report with no past accident or rust issues andhas been well maintained over the years. Receipts show regular oilservices and in the last couple years the car has gotten a newbattery, A/C blower & compressor with updated refrigerant, new balljoints, coolant hoses & belts, alignment, brake lines, pads plusrotors, shocks and new Pirelli tires. The black convertible top was recently replaced, the interior isinviting and the car runs & drives very well. The silver paintlooks great and combined with the gray interior, gives a classylook. We have the owner's books and the original spare is still inthe trunk. Ultra-low-mileage 'garage queen' 560s command pricesover $60,000 today, but they aren't any more fun to enjoy a weekendwith than this car is for less than half the investment! You canput 5000 miles of fun on this car and not affect its value atall.
