The body tagindicates this spec was specific to the ?ME? or Middle East market.Factory built as a DLX model with the 4Y engine and double cab as aCBU or completely built unit. More than likely this truck startedlife as a fleet vehicle. The Hilux is finished in basic Toyotawhite (color code 033) with reupholstery blue bench seats and doorcards. Power comes from a 2.2-liter Inline-4 petrol paired with a5-speed manual transmission, two-speed transfer case. Theultra-reliable 4Y is a 2,237 cc carbureted gas engine typicallyused for industrial applications. We bolted up a new Weber Type32/36 carb, drained the fuel, spark plugs, and fuel filter. Now itpurrs like a kitten.Toyota had three basic concepts for the fourthgeneration Hilux; power, sturdiness, and comfort. We believesimplicity is also a key to this truck?s longevity. These trucksare simple to service with fewer features to fail. Premiumequipment and full featured options on these trucks was ratherlimited but you could drive it to hell and back! This one didinclude factory AC but is currently not working. Standard optionsare extensive with windshield wipers, seat belts, dual bench seats,and turn signals. The gauge cluster does have a full complement ofgauges with speedometer, temperature, and fuel. Four 16? chromewheels are wrapped in set of 245/75R16 Dunlop Grandtrek AT3tires.Options & Features:16?
