It sits atop factory-machined aluminumwheels wrapped in Michelin Defender tires. The overall exteriorlook is that of an elegant 4-door luxury sedan that's beengarage-kept its whole life. Under the hood of this Mercury is an incredibly clean and stockengine bay that is home to a potent 4.6 liter V-8 that wasfactory-rated at 224hp when new. This strong running V-8 is matedto a 4R75E 4-speed automatic transmission - a perfect drivetraincombo. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel power disc brakes withABS. Ride quality is as smooth as can be with the rear airsuspension and sway bar that came with the Ultimate Editionpackage. To unlock the driver's door there are 3 options - use one of the 2key fobs, use a key, or use the touch-pad combination lock system.The door swings open to reveal an opulent interior full of all ofthe creature comforts you'd expect from such a premium vehicle. Theinterior is largely dressed in light beige with beautiful burledwoodgrain accents. The cleanliness and lack of any real signs ofwear are a testament to the incredibly low mileage. The driver'sdoor offers controls for power windows, power locks, power mirrors,and the power driver's seat (the passenger seat is also poweradjustable). The seats are wrapped in high-quality leather that isstill in spectacular condition and both seats offer power lumbarsupport as well as individual fold-down armrests. The rear seatslook like they've never been sat in and both front and rear haveseatbelts for 3 passengers. The crack-free grey dash is home to aneasy-to-use climate control system that offers cold A/C, hot heat,a strong fan, and rear defrost. The factory stereo sounds terrificand offers the ability to play both CD's and cassettes. The factorygauges all work as they should and include both an analog anddigital speedometer as well as a tachometer. There are buttons onthe dash that control the traction control as well as thepower-adjustable brake and accelerator pedals (a very coolfeature!). The driver is treated to a leather-wrapped steeringwheel accented with a burled wood section at the top. The steeringwheel has quick-touch controls for the stereo, the temperature, andcruise control. To the right is a column-shifter for the automatictransmission and to the left is a stalk for the intermittentwipers. Both the steering wheel and the passenger side dash areequipped with airbags for safety.
