Summary:
Used 1950 Nash 50 miles
Location:
Rapid City, SD
Description:
1951 Nash Ambassador Super. What a neat car. A true survivor. This Gem sat for 35 years in the same garage, and the owner pulled the engine to rebuilt it. He then unfortunately passed away. This Nash was stored away awaiting for a new owner to bring it to life again. That was us. We assembled the motor on an engine stand and fired it up. Then it was only a matter of putting the pieces back together. The 6 cylinder engine just purrs, has Very good oil pressure, engine runs cool, and the automatic transmission shifts OK. I have driven this car about 50 miles so far and it is a Blast! We also rebuilt the carburetor has an electric fuel pump, replaced the seal between the engine and transmission that is a must do when installing the engine. Rebuilt the starter and generator, all newly rebuilt brakes, new rear shocks, newer exhaust system, and is really quiet. Newer tires. All good glass, as we did replace some of them. The car looks really nice, and has a pr older paint job, that looks fair, but does have some scratches, small dings. On the drivers side edge of the hood by the windshield, the paint for some reason has come off, so there is some surface rust there, but no rust through. You might be able to spot that area in, or just repaint the hood. This car has some very nice chrome and the bumpers are nice too. Check out the fabulous grille. The piece of trim on the passengers front fender is dull, looks like the piece just was not rechromed, but it looks OK. The lights all work, including the turn signals. There is some rust in the left frame rail. Do not know how that happened, but we want to make you aware of it. The rest of this car is 99 percent Rust Free, Super Solid. It was undercoated by the previous owner. The interior is all original and is usable, but should be redone. The dash is Really nice, but is missing the radio. The car is also missing several pieces to make the wipers works, and there are some rubber tubes missing to make the heater work. If you are looking for a great cruiser family car that Draws Lots Of Attention, this is the car for you. We have priced this car at a Very Reasonable Price Of ONLY $6,500, and may take an offer. Yes you will get a Clear Title, and we can help you with shipping arrangements worldwide. For more information Please Call Bill at 605-348-7373.
