2009 HONDA ACCORD ADThis 2009 Honda Accord is an affordable, viable alternative to the same year Mercedes C300 and the BMW 3 series. The HONDA PRICE is much less of course but many of the features are comparable..check them out.The exterior redesign of the Honda Accord in 2008 was an effort to get European styling into the flagship model. In addition, this gives more efficiency in the slipstream and provides a "streamlined" look. The slight concave shape of the hood forces air and water out to the edge of the windshield; the rear window has a long slope which increases the interior room and also contributes to the aerodynamic efficiency.Fuel efficiency is another welcome attribute in this four cylinder 2.4L engine. It still has adequate power to merge into any traffic comfortably and safely. If driven gingerly, 30+ mpg can be obtained on the highway. This, combined with a 17 gallon tank makes fuel stops much less frequent than you are probably accustomed to. Tweaking the tire pressure up to 36 or 37 psi might even help attain 40mpg when moving at highway speeds!!!! The 2.4L engine in the EX-L has a slightly higher range of RPM with more horsepower than the base model 2.4L Accord which is noticeable when asking for a little more "gusto". The all leather interior (seats; steering wheel; armrests; center console) gives a classic (and classy) look; feel and style to this Accord. The driver's seat is an eight way power seat and also has a lumbar support system affording increased comfort. The Air Conditioning system is a dual zone climate control; you set the desired temperature and allow it to do the job. The comfort level is easily controlled for the passengers in the rear seats with this system too.The Sound System in the EX-L is a 270 watt AM/FM/6 CD/MP3/XM Satellite radio system.
