From the final year of prewar Dodge truck design, this half-ton 1947 Dodge Series WC Pickup has been reimagined as a thoroughly customized street rod, with much of the work reportedly done by the seller. The truck’s extensive modifications center around a modified small-block Chevrolet V8 and automatic transmission. The frame has reportedly been C-notched and boxed at the rear. The chassis is reported to be upgraded with a Mustang II front end that incorporates rack-and-pinon steering and front disc brakes. The repaint in red is said to date to 2005, and the custom bodywork includes Frenched-in taillamps. The Dodge has a custom oak bed that shows no metal or flooring damage, with a 16-gallon poly fuel tank underneath. Big-and-little Jegs wheels mount tires that are termed “new.” The custom interior includes a one-piece tinted windshield and the seat and steering column are from a 1974 Chevrolet Impala.
