This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Series Stepside pickup received a total restoration and modification to make it a show-worthy street rod with great drivability. The blueprinted 427-cu.in. V8 is highly detailed as is the entire engine bay. The result is an engine compartment that you hate to close the hood on. The seller claims "no expense was spared" during the truck's construction. The details on this custom Chevy pickup are so extensive that it truly fits the classic "must be seen to be appreciated" description. FEATURES The engine is a 427-cu.in. OHV V8 with Holley Sniper fuel injection.The engine has been balanced and blueprinted.The motor mounts were custom fabricated.An Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold was installed.The cylinder heads are aluminum with a roller camshaft and aluminum rockers.The engine block was smoothed and painted to show quality standards.The Rewarder Racing headers are ceramic-coated.The exhaust system is made of stainless steel.The valve covers were anodized blue and braided lines were used throughout.MSD ignition components were used.Almost everything under the hood was either chromed, polished, or painted.The GM automatic transmission is a 4L60E Stage 2 with a custom fluid pan.The transmission has a cooler and the radiator is a custom four-core unit.The rear end is a 9-inch Ford unit with a 3.73:1 final drive ratio.The all-steel body was smoothed/massaged before the show quality paint was applied.The stock hood was shaved and smoothed as was the dashboard.The hood is front-hinged.The gas tank was moved from the cab to a custom underbed unit.The rear wheel wells were tubbed and painted body color.The bed rails were smoothed and the tailgate hardware is aluminum.Both bumpers are custom with recessed turn signals.The oak bed planks have polished rub strips.The custom interior was upholstered in Ultra Leather including the door panels.The carpet and floor mats are wool.The pedals and parking brake are Lokar items.The power windows are tinted.The wiring harness is from Painless Wiring.Vintage Air supplied the A/C system which has custom outlets.The tilt steering column is from Ididit and mounts a wood-rimmed billet steering wheel.The gauges are from Classic Instruments.The sound system has concealed speakers.The truck's frame was boxed and painted.The truck has 2-inch dropped front spindles with a Heidts tubular suspension system.The front shocks are adjustable coil overs.The rear suspension uses a narrowed 9-inch, four-links, and coil over shocks.Wilwood disc brakes are used on all four corners of the truck.The custom offset wheels are from Billet Specialties.The 15-inch tires are Mickey Thompson products.The rear tires are size 29x15.00R15LT and the fronts are 26x10.00R15LT.
