Description:
A 1983 Chrysler New Yorker with 70,000 original miles supplied the engine and transmission. Performance upgrades included a Comp Cams street camshaft with new lifters and springs, a Weiand dual plane aluminum intake manifold with an Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor, a high-performance starter, Chrysler HEI ignition system, and ceramic-coated 1½-inch Hedman headers that connect to a 2½-inch aluminized exhaust system with an âXâ pipe and turbo mufflers. A new brass Dodge radiator helps keep the engine cool. All the electrical components were converted to 12-volts. The TorqueFlite 904 three-speed automatic transmission was drained, inspected, and reassembled with new filters and gaskets. The dashboard was repainted and the aftermarket steering wheel was finished to match. The original dashboard shifter lever was modified to work with the newer TorqueFlite transmission. The radio appears stock, but it is a modern digital MP3 player with upgraded speakers and a power antenna. The black carpet is new.
