Powered by the Rolls-Royce 4.9-liter IOE inline-six engine, the Silver Cloud I was designed to smoothly waft along the road while retaining a sufficiently adequate amount of power in reserve. This large-displacement inline-six was a Rolls-Royce and Bentley exclusive. the engine and cylinder head numbers match the build sheets. The engine and transmission are noted by the seller to be original and in good running condition, with good compression, prompt cold starts, and no smoke. The factory installed automatic transmission is a well proven General Motors Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic. The transmission is stated to operate normally, and exhibits a fluid weep. This long-wheelbase Silver Cloud model features a four-inch extension to the bodywork that was precisely crafted and hand fitted by the coachbuilders of Park Ward. The body shell is made of stamped steel, while the doors, hood, and trunk panels are made of aluminum. the Masons Black paint is original, and in good condition. At some point in the past, a layer of Azure paint was applied to the lower half of the body..; the interior of this car is original and complete. The interior of this vehicle was special ordered with an unusual smooth-faced Grey leather design, devoid of pleats, tufting, or stitching. The leather is stated by the seller to be original, and exhibits splits, cracking, abrasions, and wear. The finish on the dashboard wood veneers appear mottled, and there is cracking on the right rear door capping. A bespoke door was fitted to the left dashboard cubby, creating a second glovebox. The headliner shows deterioration, with sagging and discoloration..; The trunk interior and carpet present well. all gauges and electrical accessories work properly except for the clock.
