Modified and prepped for vintage racing, this 1960 Austin-Healey “Bugeye” Sprite is said to have a strong pedigree within the Vintage Drivers Club of America (VDCA) and Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) racing organizations. It’s powered by a non-original but model-correct 948-cc engine. The rest of the car is built for racing and the seller notes it does not have a title or Vehicle Identification Number. Correspondingly, it will be sold on a bill of sale for racing use only. FEATURES The 948-cc OHV inline-four was professionally built by a vintage-racing specialist.A pair of SU carburetors feeds the engine, which is backed by a four-speed manual transmission.An exhaust header and straight pipe comprise the exhaust system.The exterior was repainted white and is accented with a red stripe.The bodywork appears straight and there is no reported rust or damage to the sheet metal.All the exterior trim and chrome appear in good condition.The interior has been extensively modified for racing, including a roll bar and racing seat.The door panels, carpet, and other non-essential items have been deleted.The original instrument panel has been replaced with a custom panel filled with instruments.Similarly, the suspension features racing-spec suspension components.There are no reported issues with the steering, suspension, or braking elements.The car’s “track shoes” include 13-inch Minilite-style aluminum wheel and Hoosier racing tires. COMES WITH Nothing additional is included. NEEDS The G-Force harness belts expired in 2022 and may need to be changed to pass tech.
