This 1970 Dodge Challenger RT special edition Resto-Mod was firstbuilt by Mr. Norm's. It was later bought and professionally builtby Dick Landy Industries under an agreement with the original Mr.Norm. It is powered by a 440/600hp engine with Mopar performancecams, lifters and roller rockers, as well as Hooker long-tubeheaders and a Flowmaster dual exhaust. It uses a 727 transmissionwith a reverse-valve body that replaces the 4-speed manualtransmission and a 2.93. Dick Landy Industries fabricated andengineered an aluminum 3-link Panhard bar rear suspension to workin this Challenger. It features all DLI fabricated parts withsingle adjustable coilovers and a power rack & pinion steeringunit. DLI was known as one of the premier Mopar performancecompanies in the world. It was recently rebuilt by Larry Ofria ofValley Head Service in Northridge, CA. The car is finished in PearlYellow with White Diamond Gold Pearl accent stripes, and thegraphics on the car are painted. It was painted by legendaryCalifornia painter Junior from House of Kolor. This Challengerrides on 17-inch American Racing wheels and is equipped with Brembodisc brakes front and rear, a hydro-boost assisted master cylinder,RT hood and a high-performance radiator. It also features ahigh-performance cooling system, custom AutoMeter gauges and anupgraded Kenwood sound system with Bluetooth. This Challenger isincluded in the original Grand Spalding Registry.
