The seller of this 1975 Volkswagen Type 2 Westfalia Campmobile reports being its third owner and says the vehicle was originally from Colorado. She bought the camper a year ago and is now selling to fund her enrollment in veterinary school. She describes the VW as "rust-free" and believes it had been repainted a few years before she bought it. Just as important, the Westfalia camping equipment appears to be intact. (Westfalia was the German company that was factory-authorized to convert the VW vans into Campmobiles.) The engine is reported to be a replacement, and the seller agrees that the odometer has rolled over. With its pop-top roof, the van offered stand-up room and sleeping for up to four, with two up top and two below (the back seat folds into a bed). Standard equipment included a sink with a hookup for running water, a built-in ice chest, and a 120-volt connection for campgrounds. This is the Deluxe model, which added a refrigerator and propane cooktop. The seller states that these features were all working when she took it camping in summer 2023. She reports that since then she has entered the outdoorsy VW in two fairs and a car show, winning a prize at each event. FEATURES The seller says the engine is not original to the vehicle.The engine in a 1975 VW bus or Campmobile should be a fuel-injected 1.8-liter OHV flat-four.This is a "rust-free" camper, according to the owner.It was repainted a few years ago, she believes.She affirms the Bright Orange finish has no chips, dings, scratches, or dents.The Westfalia cabinetry and trim appear intact and in good condition.The fridge, stove, and sink were in working order as of summer 2023, per the seller.The canvas pop top was replaced.The correct Westfalia plaid upholstery appears in good condition.The car’s carpets are described as in good shape.Rubber seals around all doors were replaced by previous owners, per the seller.She affirms that the camper’s electrical features and lights all work.The van’s heat is also confirmed to be working.The CD stereo head unit has Bluetooth and is said to be working.Photos show Jensen rear speakers.
