Introduced as the successor to the 20-seriesin 1960, the third-generation 40-series Land Cruiser rolled through24 years of production and earned a worldwide reputation as arugged all-terrain performer. The restoration left no nut or boltunturned and incorporated select modifications with premiumaftermarket equipment for improved capability and comfort. Thealuminum tubbed body sits on new mounts with a tube steel frontbumper that complements the original style. The Land Cruiser ispowered by a rebuilt 350 CI small-block Chevrolet V-8 engine backedby a 5-speed manual transmission. The 4-bolt main mighty mouse isequipped with a high flow air filter, Holley 750 CFM carburetor andHEI ignition for maximum performance. An aluminum radiator withrock guard keeps the combination cool, and a GM NP205 transfer casedistributes power to all four wheels. The restoration saw the framesandblasted, painted and fitted with new leaf springs and shocksand power front disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder.This quality machine is ready for cruising!
