For2008, the highly-coveted Shelby GT is available in a new paintcombination of Vista Blue with Silver stripes and the choice of twobody styles, coupe or convertible. Shelby GT models begin life as aspecially-equipped Mustang GT assembled at the AutoAllianceInternational plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The cars are then shippedto the Shelby Automobiles facility in Las Vegas for transformationbefore delivery to Ford dealerships nationwide. Every Shelby GT isbuilt to perform and is the result of extensive development.Aerodynamics were key to sculpting t he powerful, unique frontfascia with an aggressive lower air dam. The hood scoop comesdirectly from the famed Shelby Cobra roadster while unique sidescoops are positioned just before the rear wheel arches. The rearfascia frames dual exhaust tips, and a Shelby badge graces thetrunk lid. This 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT coupe is1 of approximately 2,171 examples built at Shelby Automobiles forthe model year, and is finished in Vista Blue with Silver racingstripes over Dark Charcoal leather upholstery. The car is poweredby a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission, andwas modified by Shelby Automobiles with revised suspensioncomponents and exterior styling as well as a Pro-Cal enginemanagement calibration, a 90mm air intake, a Hurst short-throwshifter, and an X-pipe exhaust system with performance mufflers.Additional features include a limited-slip differential, 18polished aluminum wheels, air conditioning, cruise control and apower-adjustable drivers seat.
