2020 Dodge Challenger 50th Anniversary "Gold Rush" Widebody Dodge used the "Challenger" name in the late 50's for marketing theCoronet but the first true Dodge Challenger was introduced in 1970.This was Dodge's entry into the pony car race to compete againstMustangs, Camaros and other muscle cars. Fast forward to 2008 andyou will see the manufacturers all returning to their roots andintroducing new evolved versions of their 60s/70s muscle cars. Onceagain the Challenger was called upon to be a direct rival of Ford'sMustang and Chevrolet's Camaro. The first drawings and teaserphotos were released online in 2005 but it wouldn't be untilDecember 2007 that Dodge began taking orders. Production was keptfairly exclusive with all being pre-sold before production evenbegan. They have since been quite sought after with certainversions being the collector car of the modern era. This superclean 2020 Dodge Challenger sits at the top of the list when itbecomes to desirability. It goes by multiple names and is the R/TScat Pack Widebody Shaker "Gold Rush" edition. Basically any trim,paint, or body upgrade you could get was ordered factory on thiscar including the Scat Pack performance options. It is also the50th anniversary car making it quite unique and this one is #25 outof 70. Production was very limited and this is one of those carsthat in 20 years you will be seeing in "classic car" collections.The car not only has been adult owned by a single owner since new,the owner is a retired certified ASE and EVT master mechanic. Soyou can be rest assured not only has it been well maintained butanything done to the car has been done professionally. The 2,650miles on it were only to and from car shows. It has never beenraced or abused. The body is in excellent condition throughout andof coarse features that slick Gold Rush paint that has a beautifulfinish. Across the upper layers including the roof it is painted amatte Black which is a nice contrast to the Gold. The car reallylooks great and the body mods that come with the widebody reallygive the car that tough muscle car look that lets you know it meansbusiness. All of the glass on the car is in excellent condition andhas been tinted. The 20 inch rims look great on the car and withonly 2,650 total original miles the Pirelli tires have a lot oflife left in them. 4 wheel no drill splash guards have been addedand are a nice addition to keep that paint looking good. BlackGorilla wheel locks are also in place to make sure they aren'tgoing anywhere. Speaking of security, the stock security system hasbeen largely improved with not just the wheel locks but motionsensors and a manual kill switch. Underneath that very cool hood is a 6.4L SRT Hemi V8 waiting foryou to unleash its 485 HP 495 ft lbs of torque and launch thisChallenger down the road. With it's low mileage everything is veryclean throughout. These are excellent motors to begin with but evenstill the owner (once again a certified mechanic) has still foundways to improve it. From the factory the car only had the "Poweredby SRT" valve cover on the passenger side but on this one thedrivers side has been upgraded to match. An inline engine oil vaporcatch can has also been added to increase the life of the motor andpotentially help save on future costly repairs. From maintenance toupgrades everything is documented down to small details likeoil/SRT filter changes at both 500 and 2500 miles. The automatic 8speed transmission shifts smoothly and you also have the option tomanual shift via the paddle shifters or console shifter when youwant to be fully in control. The car sounds great and it has customMopar quad tips that honestly look a lot cleaner than the stockones. Underneath the car are lift point blocks so when you put itup on a two post lift you don't have the put the weight on the bodylike you would normally. That shows the level of detail, love andcare this owner has for the car. The interior of the car is in excellent condition with itscombination of cloth and leather upholstery. It really looks greatand on the high back power bucket seats you will note theembroidered "50" for the "50th anniversary". Being what it is youcan bet the car is fully loaded with all the bells and whistleslike keyless entry, heated leather wrapped steering wheel, an 8.4"touch screen, 4G LTE Wi-fi hot spot and much much more. It reallyleaves nothing to disappoint. Other extras that come with the car is a car cover, Weathertechfloormats, a battery tender, and a show sign. This Challenger istruly an awesome machine and being a limited edition top of theline is one of the few modern cars that will continue to be verydesirable in the future.
