Originally purchased in Florida, this oh-so-Seventies 1974 Cadillac Sedan de Ville reportedly spent the next 43 years there with its original owner, looking undeniably dapper in Cotillion White over the rare Mardi Gras interior. Since acquiring the car, the selling dealer has reportedly inspected and serviced it, including replacing the tires, and the Cadillac is said to be ready for the road. “It runs and drives great—and everything works properly,” says the seller. FEATURES The 472-cu.in. OHV V8 engine was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.Per the seller, the engine starts, idles, and runs well, with no smoke or leaks.A three-speed automatic transmission is paired with the engine and it reportedly shifts well. There are no reported leaks from it.The seller reports there are no leaks from the engine or rear axle, either.The car wears Cotillion White paint matched with a white vinyl roof. The seller’s photos show evidence, including overspray on some seals and more, suggesting the car was repainted.The vinyl roof cover appears to be in good condition.According to the seller, the glass is in “excellent” condition.The interior appears very clean and in original condition, including the striped Mardi Gras velour upholstery.The seat covers, carpet and headliner are said to be in excellent condition, with minimal wear.All the interior trim features are intact, notes the seller, while the dash pad, door panels and steering wheel are also in very good shape. There’s a small crack at the bottom of the steering wheel rim.All the interior features are in working order, asserts the seller, including the gauges, heater, air conditioning, power locks and windows, power seat and AM/FM radio.The chassis, suspension, and brakes were inspected and serviced by the selling dealer and the work included replacing the power steering pump.The seller also replaced the tires in May 2023 with Coker Classic whitewalls and they’re said to have approximately 500 miles on them. Their DOT date codes are not visible in the photos.In addition to the tires, the seller also installed the 15-inch wire wheels, which are also said to be in “excellent” condition. The car’s original wheels are included. COMES WITH A Cadillac service manual is included. NEEDS A few small bubbles and other blemishes in the paint are seen in the photos.Some of the exterior trim shows weathering and minor pitting.The window seals appear original and are showing their age. There are cracks and weathering seen in most of them, but the seller says there are no known leaks.
