That buyer has been banned from any further participation on Hemmings Auctions and the buyer’s fee was not refunded. “This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible is highly original and well-maintained,” the seller states. Its title shows 19,990 miles, so the current 20,030 is believed to be actual.” Per the seller and the partial VIN stamped into the block that matches the body VIN, the original engine is still in this Corvette. FEATURES The “HT” suffix on the block denotes the 350-hp, 327-cu.in. OHV V8.It also reveals a manual transmission.This V8 features a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum intake.The carburetor was just rebuilt.New rocker cover gaskets were installed.“No information is available for any prior mechanical work,” he says.“It runs well,” he adds.“Depress the gas pedal to floor to set the choke, crank, and start.”“It idles at 1500-rpm cold and 900-rpm warm.”There are “no issues” regarding the four-speed transmission.A 3.36:1 gearset is in the Positraction rear end.In 2023, the car was repainted in factory code-988 Marlboro Maroon.Its finish is “in excellent condition,” he says.Its convertible top is also “excellent, with a clear rear window.”The body received new weatherstripping in 2023.“No issues” exist with the glass.“The bumpers are original and look age appropriate,” the seller notes.The exterior lights operate as they should.In the standard black vinyl interior, the seats are “excellent.”The tracks and adjusters “work as designed.”Also new in 2023 was the carpet.All the gauges, the heater, and the AM/FM radio function properly.According to the seller, “The frame was painted by a previous owner.”“It is solid, and very little rust can be observed.”“A recent inspection indicated everything is tight” in the suspension.The rear wheel bearings are “original and are still in great condition.”“The car sits at the proper ride height,” he notes.“No issues” exist with the power four-wheel disc brakes.The same is true with the 15-inch steel Rally wheels.“The tire ages aren’t known, but they have excellent tread,” he says.“A wheel alignment was recently done, and the car tracks straight.”There is “slight play in steering wheel.”There are “no leaks” in the power steering.
