This 1930 Indian Scout 101, offered by a dealer in Arizona, came out of a collection in Sweden. The classic bike received a “comprehensive restoration in Denmark some years before, and the work still shows well. The Scout is presented as ready for showing and riding, with no outstanding needs noted. Indian introduced the Scout 101 in 1928, eight years after the first Scout. The 101 was a major redesign, with a more powerful 45-cu.in. V-twin, a longer wheelbase, a new fork, a front brake, and lower seat height. The Scout 101 became a favorite of racers and stunt riders, and of course customers, who would make the Scout the original Indian brand’s best seller.
