Showing only 15,724 claimed-original miles on the odometer, this half-ton 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup is said by the seller to wear its original red paint and gray vinyl upholstery, while the six-cylinder powertrain is also said to be original. “I still have the original tires on the original rims, but the truck now rolls on Coker reproduction tires for the sake of safety,” says the seller, who believes he is the well-preserved Advance Design-generation Chevy truck's fourth owner. FEATURES Propulsion comes from a 216-cu.in. OHV inline-six and a three-speed manual transmission.The engine has a few hundred miles on a rebuild and was originally rated at 92 horsepower.The engine is said to run well, without smoke, and the transmission shifts well.Minor leaks and weeping are noted, but “nothing serious,” notes the seller.When new, the truck was equipped with a single taillight and no rear bumper.A second taillight and a rear bumper were added to comply with Massachusetts regulations.The vehicle retains a 6-volt electrical system, but it is used with an 8-volt battery.The red paintwork shows its age and few small blemishes but is said to be original.There are some cracks and chips in the glass and the seals are original.Per the seller, there’s "no known rust" in the body.The interior is also said to be original and in very good condition for its age.All the chassis, suspension, and braking elements are believed to be original.The original wheels and tires have been replaced for safety, but they are included.The reproduction tires were installed in 2000 and are said to have about 4,000 miles on them.
