This 1974 Volkswagen Beetle shows only 26,238 miles on the odometer, which the seller claims are original. He also identifies himself as just the second owner of the Bug in 50 years. The power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The seller states that the engine in this Beetle “is original and has never been rebuilt,” noting that the engine “starts well, with no smoke.” The transmission is also stated to “shift well.” No leaks or weeps are reported. EXTERIOR The original, “rust-free,” Bright Orange paint appears to present very strongly in the photos provided, with a high level of shine. The seller notes “only a couple of chips or scratches.” All brightwork and black plastic trim appear complete and highly polished as well, with no visible signs of pitting, fading, or other damage. The glass and seals are described as “good,” with no reported blemishes. All lights are said to work properly. INTERIOR Both the painted and black vinyl interior surfaces also appear to present very strongly and in original condition. The seller describes the seats and door panels as “nice,” with just one crack noted in the cover of the driver’s seat (not shown in the photos). All interior trim is reported to be complete and in good working condition, as well as the gauges and controls.
