UP for auction is a loaded SOLID RUST FREE 1980 Pontiac Trans Am. This is a un-molested Special Edition Y84 as Verified on the bill sheet and Documented by PHS. The car was purchase several Years ago from the original owner, however I have done the most important work to the car, including brakes, suspension, safety, service and drive train maintenance. MECHANICAL: The Pontiac (4.9 Liter) 301 Non-Turbo Engine did not have to be touch because there is 135 psi Compression on each cylinder. There is only 79,335 miles on the car and the engine is in great shape.. The car was inspected last year and the mechanic said that it purrs like a kitten, there is a new alternator, new bell and hoses. The A/C has been re-charged with R-12 and it blows cold. I had the carburetor rebuilt and the front and rear brakes were replaced. The emergency brake cable was checked and is in proper working order. The front and rear u-joints wear replaced along with the differential oil and Posi-traction additive.. This car has the 3.08 rear end gears and gets about 25- 30 mpg. The transmission is the stock unit Turbo 350 of which they service the transmission fluid change the filter and installed a new transmission mount. The front has rancho coils springs and the rear has rancho leaf spring, the rear leaf spring unit has an extra leaf for stability and cornering. We also installed a set of Gabriel gas charged shocks all around this is a mechanically sound running and drivable Trans Am. BODY: For a 30 year old car this is a solid rust free car and it has all the options GM had back in 1980.. The undercarriage is in pristine order with the factory rust proofing still attached to floor boards and undercarriage. The hood and shaker assembly is all there intact, the T-tops are in good condition they come with the original Fisher GM T-Top bags. The original jack and all the attachments are there in the car. The original catalytic converter is still attached to the exhaust pipes... INTERIOR: The interior has a new head liner, package tray, striker plate, sound deadener, high pile carpet and floor mats the original door panel are still on the car the dash has a small half inch tear on the passenger side, that could easily be fixed by any dash or bumper repair person. The driver seat has tear in the lower left hand corner where you get in and out of the car. The new replacement can be order from Classic Industries it is about $375 -$575 for the set front and rear seats covers. GENERAL: I have all the documentation from PHS and the maintenance receipts. THE BAD: The starlight black paint and gold pin stripes have faded in some area the car is in need of a paint job but for most purpose the body is straight and it's in good condition. The dashboard has a small cut by the passenger side that can be easily repair. The Original gold 15x8 snow flakes rims was lost a while ago but my friend have a set of silver 15x8 snow flakes rims that he wants to sell ... ASKING $12995 or Best Offer Call me at 631 747-XXXX
