1953 Mercedes-Benz 220A SedanThis 1953 Mercedes-Benz 220A Sedan isan extremely original example that has been patiently awaitingcomplete restoration. Black with tan interior. A largely completecar that's been sitting undisturbed for many years. Recentlyunearthed and ready for its next caretaker to come along and giveit the proper restoration it deserves. Mercedes-Benz re-entered theautomobile market in 1949 with the W137-chassis 1.7-liter 170 sedanbuilt using tools and dies hidden away during the war. ItsX-configured oval-tube frame was stronger and more stable than theladder-frames of competitors. At the 1951 Frankfurt Motor Show, thecompany introduced the W137 with a 2.2-liter engine, hence the 220model name, distinguishable from its predecessor only by theheadlights faired into the front fenders. An exciting project andthe perfect car to complete any Mercedes-Benz enthusiastscollection. Price: $9,950
