To achieve a Gold,we know from personal experience, this car had to score over 960out of a possible 1000 points. Rarified air. It's a beautiful carthat has seen occasional careful use since that time. The quality of this 100 is evident throughout. The paint is inexceptional condition and one would be hard pressed to find evenminor use flaws. The interior is equally good, done with qualitymaterials to a very high level. Theunderside and engine compartment are very clean and crisp. Thechrome is very nice, the top, side curtains and tonneau cover areall present and very, very nice. To quote the owner restorer of this car: This Healey was purchasedin 2012 and it went through a 5-year, 100 percent restoration. Theowner/restorer has a mechanical background with a degree inMechanical Technology and consulted with "top Healey experts" inthe world when need on the restoration. Every mechanical componentwas disassembled and restored and rebuilt. There are manyphotographs documenting the restoration and all numbers match withoriginal tags. Some further high points; crankshaft, king pins and axels allmagnafluxed for safety, no lead valves installed and engine blockhot tanked at 850 degrees overnight, all running gear balanced, allnew wheels and hubs, transmission rebuilt by Quantum Mechanics,stainless hydraulic lines, seats and tonneau cover by AutoweaveUpholstery in Denver, and much more... The final paint was done bya 'professional high-end painter" in Urethane and wet sanded andbuffed to a wonderful finish. I have personally had the opportunity to drive this car a few milesand having driven literally hundreds of Healeys over the years thiscar performs among the best I've driven and runs and drives spoton. This beautiful Healey comes with an owner's handbook, correct toolroll and jack, a box of restoration receipts, the two Concours GoldCertificates it attained and the judging sheets. Also included is aHeritage certificate indicating this car has been faithfullyrestored as it was built by the factory. If you are looking for a high quality BN2 (one of just 4604 BN2Healeys built) to drive, show and or just in general, enjoy thismay very well be your car.
