"By the mid-1950s, Austin-Healey had plenty of success from salesof its 100-4 and 100-6. Problem was, not everyone could afford theso-called "Big Healeys." Austin boss Leonard Lord and Austin-Healeychief Donald Healey got together on an idea for a small,inexpensive sports car that would sell strongly in both Europeanand American markets. The result was the first Austin-HealeySprite." - Motortrend This 1960 Austin Healey "Bugeye" Sprite is finished in Old EnglishWhite with a black interior and black top with tonneau cover. The paint although 45 years old, shows well with the expectedimperfection of older finishes. There is no observable rust seen onthe finish, the underside presents well with some areas of minorsurface rust only. The presentation of the factory spartan black interior shows wellwith no areas of excessive wear. The black vinyl top is in verygood condition with a clear rear window, the black side curtainsand tonneau are also in good condition. The 948cc motor now showing 76,650 miles runs great and pullsstrong as the SU carburetors perform their magic. Presented with vintage luggage and white wall tires, this car is ablast to drive although you will not run 10 seconds on the dragstrip I guarantee you will have more fun cruising through the backroads.
