Nash sought to develop an economicaland smaller alternative that really didn't exist in North America.With help from Detroit based independent designer, William Flajole,and some styling help from Pinin Farina Nash created and exportedthe Metropolitan. It was marketed as a simple 2nd car for thefamily when needed. It's known for its size of course, but also asbeing the first car that was marketed to women. In a time wherethis car just may appear as tiny for being tiny, the reviews cameback overwhelmingly positive on the styling and performance leavinga lasting legacy in the classic car market today.This gorgeous Nash Metropolitan was restored and presents verywell. The peppy 55HP, 1500cc engine runs as it should and is matedto a manual 3 speed on the floor transmission. The Nash rides onwhitewall tires.
