A remarkable find, this spectacular example was first acquired byus through a broker in April 1998 from the family of the people whohad first registered it in Florida in 1970. It was in entirelyoriginal untouched condition at that time with only 23,250 milestraveled from new as shown in the before photographs whichaccompany the automobile. The mechanicals were and are in good working order. As part of ournormal preparation procedures, the braking system was completelyrebuilt, the springs were rebuilt as required for proper standingand ride heights, the existing air conditioner was replaced with anupgraded unit of the period to ensure comfortable conditions inFlorida, 5 new BF Goodrich 820x15 tires were fitted, all systemswere serviced and the exhaust system renewed as necessary. The bodyhad never been damaged or rusted but the original finish wasunsurprisingly faded so we elected to refinish the coachwork inlacquer to the original Tudor Grey. The interior woods wereundamaged but dull. They have been stripped and refinished to showquality. The car was supplied from new with some desirable factoryoptions including a tachometer and altimeter fitted to thedashboard. The headliner was replaced and correct limousine styleair conditioning ducts were incorporated. The carpets were replacedwith correct Wilton I wool and the Beige leather to the front seatsand armrests were replaced. The automobile was then supplied to one of our more meticulousclients from whom we have been fortunate to reacquire it with only27,946 miles to date. Correct handbooks, unplundered tools and factory history are allincluded. We believe this to be the finest Silver Cloud IIavailable anywhere.
