1965 GMC Series Pro-Street 1000 half-ton pickup DGT965A VIN1001PF31965A This is a frame off restoration approximately 10 yearsago and has been with the owner since 2014. Big block Supercharged454ci Chevrolet V8 engine topped with a chrome Roots blower and4-barrel carburetor. 700 R 4 automatic transmission. Modificationsinclude a custom front and rear end, and battery relocation.Refurbished interior. Equipment includes an AM/FM/CD stereo. Heatand air conditioning, an anti-theft battery shutoff switch, andunder the dash hood release for added security. Finished in yellowwith chrome accentsand hardware, the truck has been fitted withaStepsidebed sourced from a 1990's era pickup. The bed has beenretrofitted with wooden slats and stainless hardware.Square dualexhaust tips protrudefrom the rear. Power steering and power discbrakes on the front, drums on the rear. Aftermarket 6-spokealuminumwheels. We did find rust bubbles on one door. A couplepaint chips otherwise the paint is very nice. The suspension sitslower than it came from the factory after being updated with aCamaro front end and Chevrolet Nova parts in the rear.I like thelooks of it. The interior is trimmed throughout in gray and black,withcloth upholstery over the split bench,a built-in centerconsole, a black vinyl dash and door panels, and black carpeting.Equipment includes manually cranked windows, Instrumentation can befound behind the aftermarket 3-spoke steering wheel and consists ofa complete Stewart Warner gauge set including a 160-mphspeedometer, tachometer, and additional dials for fuel level,battery voltage, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The odometeris reported to show 6,970 miles, which is reported to bethe mileagedriven since completion of the build. The engine bay is finished inbody-matching yellow. A photo collage of the build process alongwith a catalog of parts used will be included. We had Black SpeedMarket do the service and safety check for us so it's ready todrive. And I want to tell you it runs and drives great. You canimagine with that big block it's got a lot of horsepower and ofcourse I've got the supercharger that adds to that.
