Described as one of the first civilian Jeeps produced by Willys following World War II, and said to be one of 1,823 similar models, this 1945 Willys-Overland Jeep CJ2A is reported to have undergone a two-year, body-off restoration that concluded in 2004. The seller says that the Jeep, obviously finished to a very high degree, matches its post-restoration condition and has been the subject of a magazine feature. The Jeep’s original engine has reportedly been refurbished, and its column-shifted manual transmission rebuilt by the Willys Works in Arizona. With a powder-coated frame, the Jeep is said to retain its Warn hubs, and is apparently fully functional. A restored Bantam trailer with wood side stakes will be included in the sale. FEATURES The 134-cu.in. L-head inline-four was factory rated at 60 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque.The engine is described as original to this Jeep.A new clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing have reportedly been installed.The manual drum brakes are said to be new.All instruments are described as new.New springs and shock absorbers are reported to have been installed.The gray vinyl seat covers and cushions are termed “new.”The underside and engine bay present as very clean.The Bantam trailer has all new body panels are from JeePanels Plus of Maine.The Pasture Green paint appears to remain in very good condition. COMES WITH A single-axle Bantam trailer in very good condition will be included.The Jeep’s original instruments will be provided.The original four-wheel-drive hubs will be included in the sale.A new, correct 6-volt wiring harness has been reportedly installed.
