It has been upgraded with a high-performance 327 engine, a four-speed manual transmission, Positraction rear axle, front disc brakes, and modern gauges and stereo. The seller says, “this car is in near mint condition, has won numerous awards in car shows, and is always in dry storage.” FEATURES The “17” in the VIN denotes a Nova SS with a six-cylinder engine.The seller states the car is now equipped with an L79 327-cu.in. OHV V8.He says, “This engine is a complete rebuild with correct OEM parts.”It was also said to be modified with Z28 heads, a 750-cfm Holley carburetor, and an HEI distributor.Ceramic-coated headers feed into full dual exhausts.A new 8-quart oil pan, aluminum water pump, fuel pump, and radiator were installed.Also new are the gas tank and its sending unit, the Red Top Optimum battery, and the wiper motor.Imron paint was applied in the engine bay.Behind the clutch and explosion-proof bellhousing is a Hurst-shifted Muncie four-speed manual.Inside the 10-bolt rear axle is a 3.73:1 gearset and a Positraction unit.No prior body damage was reported.During its restoration, the exterior was painted Roman Red, per the seller.That finish has been ceramic coated twice since then.New weatherstripping was installed.So too, was a new Painless Performance Products wiring system.The bucket seat interior was redone in red vinyl.AutoMeter Phantom gauges replaced the stock indicators and warning lamps.A Kenwood DVD player, a 100-watt two-channel amplifier, and speakers were added.Subframe connectors were installed.A front disc brake swap also included a new power brake booster.Five matching BFGoodrich Silvertown radial redline tires are mounted on steel Rally wheels. COMES WITH Custom carpeted and “Super Sport” logoed floormats are included. NEEDS There are only two smaller-than-a-quarter-size imperfections in the paint, the seller notes.
